Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyse the influence of rewards and the work environment on employee performance at PDAM Tirta Darma Ayu Indramayu.

Design/methodology/approach: The study employed an associative quantitative method with a population of 147 employees. A sample of 107 respondents was determined using the Slovin formula (5%). Data were collected through interviews and Likert-scale questionnaires, and analysed using multiple linear regression with SPSS 25.

Findings: The results indicate that rewards and the work environment have a positive and significant influence on employee performance, both partially and simultaneously.

Research limitations/implications: This study is limited to a single organisation, so the generalisability of the findings remains limited.

Practical implications: The research findings can serve as a basis for management in improving the reward system and creating a conducive working environment.

Originality/value: This study makes an empirical contribution to the development of human resource management research, particularly regarding the influence of rewards and the working environment in regional water supply companies.
